Scott Alexander MacRae, age 60, passed away peacefully on Feb. 6, 2026 in Victoria, B.C. in the company of family and friends. Born in Surrey on Mar. 27, 1965 to Emma and Sandy, Scott was known for his friendliness, quick wit and passion for rehabilitating rescued dogs and cats.

He is survived by his loving brother Jim (Megan).

Scott was a dedicated adventurer and a lover of languages, food and nature. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal service will take place. In his memory, donations may be made to the BC SPCA (https://spca.bc.ca/donate/), an organization he passionately supported.

Respectful, caring, and accommodating

I met Leslie the day after my sweet Dad passed away. She was sensitive, respectful, caring, and accommodating.

The service she gave us from start to finish has been above and beyond, with her personally delivering a second urn to us one year later that should have been picked up by another family member.

I have come away from the whole experience with one final thought, I wish my Dad could have met her when he was alive, he would have enjoyed her too!
