Sally Ann Durno

Sally Ann Durno

Sally Ann Durno (nee Becker) passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022 in Victoria BC at the age of 92. After a 69-year marriage, Sally was only briefly separated from beloved husband James Allan (Al) Durno who passed away on October 30, 2022. Sally and Al are survived by their children Janet (Mike, deceased), Bill (Barb) and John (Sarah); grandchildren Evan (Agnes), Megan and Jack; Sally’s sister Susan Davidson (David, deceased); nieces and nephews. Sally lived a long happy life. Born in Calgary, she received a BSc from the University of Alberta and worked as a lab technician before starting a family, later as a science aide in Edmonton schools. A talented artist, Sally loved to ski, hike, swim and travel, adventuring with Al to Hawaii, Southeast Asia, England and Italy and to the Rockies where she lived for many of her early years. Above all, Sally loved spending time with the family. Our sincere thanks to Drs Francois and Marlene Muller, Dr Michael Vaughan, Dr Sanjeet Pakrasi and the wonderful staff of Berwick House-Brio.
