Ronald Gary Shelton
October 14, 1938 – December 4, 2025
Losing a parent reshapes your world, and finding the right words to honor our Dad is difficult.
Ronald “Ron” Shelton was born on October 14, 1938, near Weyburn, Saskatchewan, and passed away on December 4, 2025, in Victoria, BC. In his final months, his greatest wish was to be closer to his beloved wife, Patricia, and they were blessed with daily visits.
Ron is survived by Patricia, his wife of 64 years; their children Alice (Paul), Michael (Beverley), Mary-Ellen (Malcolm), Barbara (Douglas), and Kate (Chris), his seven grandchildren, Ashley, Connor, Brittany, Cassidy, Etoile, Alex and Elizabeth, and six great grandchildren Gia, Beckett, Jordan, Rhys, Cooper and Rhodes. What a beautiful legacy of love.
Ron’s career with Pacific Western Airlines brought the family to many communities across British Columbia and created lifelong friendships. Our happiest family memories include Saturday nights watching Hockey Night in Canada and the dinner hours that our parents insisted were for stories and laughter—no TV or phone calls allowed.
Our dad was a quiet man, but his love for us was strong.
We love you, Dad.
Ron requested his family celebrate his life in a private event.

Always be gentle with yourselves and each other. Grief is a strange, beautiful and sometimes awkward process. I only met Ron a few times, but I could see the love he had for you all in his eyes.
