It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Robert Wayne Comin. Robert was born on August 23, 1951, in Blairmore, AB and passed away on June 29, 2025, in Saanichton, BC, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

He leaves behind his cherished wife and lifelong friend, Kathy Baruta, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He was a devoted father to Jason, Heather, and Otto, and a proud grandfather to fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom always loved to see and play card games with him.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Otto and Phyllis, his older brother, Rene, and his sister, Rhonda.

Robert dedicated over 30 years to the Canadian Coast Guard and retired in 2018. Prior to working with the Coast Guard he worked in the mining and construction fields.

Known for his kindness, patience, and ever-present sense of humour, Robert was a quick friend to everyone he met. His warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
