Margaret Emilie Wilson passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, surrounded by her children. Born on June 4, 1943, in Victoria, Margaret was the daughter of Mary and George Girton and one of three sisters. She built a life centred on love, family, and friends.

Margaret found her greatest joy in time spent with her devoted husband, Don, and with their family and friends. She especially cherished her role as a grandmother and took great pride in her grandchildren. Whether tending her flower garden, enjoying days at Saratoga Beach, or heading out for a shopping trip, she embraced life’s simple pleasures.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Don Wilson; her children, Karen Nelson (Richard Nelson), Steven Wilson (Michael Simmonds), and Susan Philip (Lance Philip); her grandchildren, Alex Nelson, Sara Philip, Katie Philip, and Molly Philip; and her sister, Jean Benwell (William Benwell).

Margaret will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation.
