October 5, 1959 – March 5, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Caroline Lidele Glover on March 5, 2026, after a brave and difficult journey with cancer. Caroline faced her illness with remarkable courage and grace, and she passed peacefully surrounded by the immense love of her family.

Caroline will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Dan Glover. She was a devoted mother to Ryan, Cole, and Julie, and was so proud of the families they built with their spouses Meaghan, Courtney, and Dan H. Caroline also shared a loving relationship with her stepchildren, Derek and Carly, and their spouses Aliesha and Kolton. Nothing brought her greater joy than being “Grandma” to Payton, Bowen, Caden, Cambrie, Isla, Zachary, Paul, Glenn, and Callahan.

She is also lovingly remembered by her parents, Jim and Sally, her three sisters Peggy, Ria, and Camie, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her warmth and kindness.

Caroline grew up in Port Alberni and later moved to Victoria to pursue nursing school, beginning what would become a long and meaningful career dedicated to caring for others. Over the course of more than 30 years in nursing, Caroline’s passion was home care nursing, where she cared deeply for her patients and families and made a lasting impact through her compassion and dedication.

Caroline raised her children in Powell River, a community that held many special memories. It was also there that she met and fell in love with her husband Dan Glover, beginning a beautiful chapter together filled with love, laughter, and many delicious meals.

Dan’s career then took them on a seven-year adventure to Squamish, where Caroline continued nursing and again made a meaningful impact on the people in her community. In March 2025, they retired to Parksville, where they quickly felt welcomed into yet another wonderful community. They spent time nesting into their new home, building their garden beds, and enjoying being closer to Caroline’s family. We are heartbroken that this long-anticipated chapter of their lives was cut short.

Caroline loved being active and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed running and hiking, tending the garden alongside Dan, baking treats for those she loved, and sitting down to visit with a good cup of tea. Her smile was incredibly genuine and instantly warm, and she was known for giving the strongest, most heartfelt hugs you could imagine.

She was a patient and calming presence who taught those around her to find joy in even the smallest moments. That energetic and joyful spirit shone brightest when she was playing with her beloved grandchildren.

Caroline had a gift for making people feel special, cared for, and truly listened to. She spent her life building up and encouraging everyone around her.
